Instructor Profile
Senior Master William Chan
- Rank :  8th Dan Black Belt
- Experience :   40 years in Taekwon-Do
- Official Positions : - (1)  President - ITF New Zealand
(2)  International Master Instructor & Examiner
  (3)  ITF Class 'A' Umpire
- Education :  MBA (Curtin)
- Taekwon-Do Philosophy :  (1)  Training - You are only as good as you train  (2)  Be Ready - Taekwon-Do practitioners should train with a purpose of achieving a constant state of being "ready"
i.e., in the event of a fight  (3)  Paradox - When one has to fight then one must train harder so as not to fight. When there is an urge to fight;  it may be a warning sign of immaturity in Taekwon-Do  (4)  Way of Life - Some regard Taekwon-Do as a way of life, in that they eat, sleep, drink
Taekwon-Do. This club's Instructor's feeling is that Taekwon-Do should not be a way of life. There are so many things to do and see in the world. Perhaps it will be more beneficial to regard it as part of one's life  (5)  Students often train long and hard to acheive proficiency in Taekwon-Do;
 for the truly proficient, it is this Instructor's hope that one day, through training, they will find and attain inner peace, for somewhat unknowingly, it is what really matters after all.
